Pretty Wild Thing

June 6th, 2011

All my life, people knew me as this goody-two-shoes girl, stuck-up, straight-laced, smartypants and whatnot. Yesternight, I realized that I am not that girl anymore..actually, I think I’ve never been really that. I am so bored being this and that. I don’t know but I’m sorta trapped with this identity that the others built for me.

Though I haven’t totally discovered what/who I really am yet, I would surely like to try being different from what I’ve been — wild, flirty, silly, droll, oddly strange, deviant, sophisticated, and all that. . Suppose this is a common goal for many people who feel stuck, whether they’re a monk with dreams of FoxyBingo riches or a punk rocker with dreams of a career as an accountant. This is going to be a one major goal from now on. Mehehe.

I now fully understand that cliche line “I need to find myself” :)

PS: The image above is not really relevant to this post, so is the title. I just find it cute. LOL

Going to uni – my dating plans

June 6th, 2011

Well, it’s nearly here. In just a few months I’ll be a fully fledged college student. No more parents watching my every move, no more school, no more dreary home town where nothing ever seems to happen and the only thing to do is hang around the park eyeing up boys. And you know what the worst thing about doing that is? They never eye me up back – those greasy boys in the park. I’m hoping that when I get to college everything will be different.

See, I’ve never been that great at dating. Dating people from school just seems too much like hard work – too many dramas when things go wrong. Exclude boys from school and you’re left with… the boys from the park. Well, actually I did sign up for some free dating sites once, but since my parents monitor my computer usage, that didn’t go too well. That’s why when I get to college I’m determined to make sure it’s all different. First year is going to be Operation Dating for me.

I know that isn’t going to be easy. I’m naturally pretty shy, so just going up to boys in the bar or wherever isn’t necessarily going to work for me. I’m more than capable of giving them a cheeky smile, but then they just smile back and the ball’s kind of in my court again – and I never know what to do about it. I do know, though, that lots of people meet someone pretty quickly when they start college – whether that’s for a proper relationship or just a couple of dates. So it can be done. I think if you’re a bit shy, like me, the answer is thinking of another place to meet people.

My big plan is to join as many societies, groups and teams as I can. Basically, I think if you can meet people with the same interests as you, you’re already halfway there. My cousin gave me the idea – she’s quite religious and met her husband at a Christian dating club. They’ve got a baby now, so it definitely worked for her. I’ve been looking at all the students’ union clubs – there is so much on offer! I’m going to have trouble fitting it all in. I think I’ll get involved in the judo club (lots of fun and lots of boys do it), drama (there is something really attractive about men who can act!) and the film club (loving films is pretty much essential if you want to date me). That should be enough for starters, and if it isn’t – I should at least have made some good friends!

Summer 2011

June 4th, 2011

Cuddle weather is finally here! That means summer is officially over, so is my vacation :( Well, summer 2011 was pretty cool anyway. Though I wasn’t so productive and I gained so much weight, I guess every day of my vacation went pretty well. Had family outings/gatherings, days with friends, random get-aways, and whatnot.

The usual days: I wake up around 8am-ish, then I wash up, eat breakfast, and if I’m in the mood, I work out. After it, I waste time doing nothing. Then I watch TV. Play with my little niece. Go out for a walk with my sister. Read a book/blog. Go online. Watch movies. Take a nap. And so on. My day usually ends at 12am.

Below is a collage of my summer 2011. It’s not complete though, since I don’t have my camera wherever I go.

happi chua

Damn watermark. LOL.

The best day of summer: Mmm, May 7th! Went jogging with my cousins, had a very good breakfast, went swimming and did some random whatevs. Totally had fun! Also, April 13th, I went major shopping, haha :p

The worst day: May 18th. It was our enrollment day. I don’t know but there’s this bitch who really ruined the day. Ugh. Also May 29th, I woke up with the most horrible menstrual cramps I’ve ever had in my entire life, man, I almost die. loljk

Greatest thing happened: Finally got a decent digital camera and a new phone!

Worst thing happened: That must be when my 2 bffs left the town to have their vacations somewhere and I was left alone here. Pfft.

Funniest thing I did: I tried water-hairflipping and it was horrible because as I turn my head up, all the water came into my nose. Dayuuummm

Craziest thing: It was my cousin’s birthday and we had so much tequila. We all got drunk and did some very nasty and silly things which I’m never going to mention here :p

So that’s pretty much it. How’s your summer? :)

Technology is around us

June 4th, 2011

When I was a little kid technology was just a word for me. I do not really care at all how it evolves or how it can move our lives. As the process of my maturity goes by, I learned that this little thing I called technology is not really a mere little thing but a huge and splendid thing! There are a lot of amazing stuff happened because of technology. Just like the making of the internet. From this, we had the chance to make the world smaller. You can communicate with them and update your life with them through social networking sites or electronic mails. You can also play with them on bingo sites anytime and anywhere! This is how technology moves on our lives.

Technology is around us. We can not even stop it. Every minute of our lives, technology is always there. We all need it! Technology helps us on the medical industry, agricultural industry and even on the economy. Well, this this is really broad. Let me give you one concrete example, if you want to play bingo with a real person without going to a casino, then, it is not impossible anymore! You can immediately open you laptop, search your favourite bingo site and there you have it! You can play with a real person inside or outside the country you are in. You can also play with your relative or friend who lives far away from you. Isn’t wonderful? They say that technology makes the impossible things possible. Somehow, it is true right? There are pros and cons. We just need to control and handle it on the right way. We are still on the top. We are above all, because we are humans. Humans have minds to think. So, let us enjoy the wonder of this technology with control.

Chances Up For Grabs

June 3rd, 2011

They say anything’s possible as long as you believe and as long as you allow to make it happen. Hmm sure thing. But I guess there’s stil these things we just can’t do/make. Teleport? Time-travel? Live forever? So.. what if one day, God gives us these chances to do/make things we thought impossible? Sounds FUNtastic!

The chances up for “grabs”:

1. A chance to get a super duper power:
F*ck yeah! Hahaha! I’d probably love to teleport! First stop: New York, baby! :)

2. A chance to be somebody else:
Not quite sure about this but I’d surely love to be Miranda Kerr. Man, how can you not envy her beauty, her body, everything! Not to mention she’s married to Orlando Bloom, damn girl.

3. A chance to bring back time and change something from the past:
Oh, this one’s pretty famous to beauty contests, isn’t? Haha. Well, I’d say No to this one :-/ Whatever happened in the past made me this strong & happy today so why bother change anything. That’s all, thank you.

4. A chance to live young forever:
This one’s tough. I’d surely love to be young forever but to see all your loved ones die as time passes by really hurt. Remember Io from the movie Clash of the Titans? So yeah, scratching this one out also :p

5. A chance to be so noble and be part of the world’s history:
Sure thing! I’d probably love to be the person who could stop wars and poverty by just inspiring people with my ~*wisdom*~ and ~*awesomeness*~. Oh wait, that’s so not noble? Is it? :-/

6. A chance to do magic and cast spells:
How can I say no to this one. Haha. All my life I dreamed to be Hermione! Hah! First thing to magic: food!! Lots of food in front of me, please. And a hot stripping guy.

7. A chance to be forgotten by the world:
This one’s pretty odd but I’d surely say Yes to this. You know, be somebody that no one else knows so you can fully start over. New name, new life, everything’s gonna be new. Rebirth, most likely.

8. A chance to rule the whole world:
Why not! I’m so going to make this world full of fun. Yknow, parties everywhere, free liquor, lifetime supply of drugs and weeds.. Ya’ll gonna love me! Nah, of course I’m kidding. Hehe. But I sure would make this world free from discrimination, poverty and whatnot. How? Uhm, I don’t know yet! Hahahaha

9. A chance to ditch people out of this world:
Uhm, sure? Hahaha! Game over, bitches.

10. A chance to grant others’ wishes:
Sure thing! As long as people won’t chase after me and annoyingly worship the awesomeness of me. Hehe

So that’s all it. Haha. So, which chances are you gonna/not gonna grab? :)
